Thanksgiving. As we look back, it is only a short period of time. For me, I can look back 85 years! How thankful should we be for all of life’s experiences? We live at a time when change seems to happen every day. We do need to stop and take a breath. Life has been a trip, and these years are seeing more than change. It is really hard to describe. So let’s be thankful that we have shared the experience with a glass of wine.

2022 Sparkling Wine: Just a reason to celebrate. A true Blanc de Noirs made from co-fermenting 80% Pinot Noir with 20% Chardonnay. This is a more than refreshing beverage, one that should welcome any celebration. It is filled with excitement and perfect for the holidays. Cheers!

2020 Cabernet Sauvignon “Cote del Sol”: I remember sitting in a Tasting Room in Australia where I was served a Cabernet with a little bit of Syrah in it. Of course, I had to make a mental note! Upon my return 25 years ago, I made the first one. The only difference is that we co-fermented ours, where they blended. Co-fermenting made a big difference, and we have continued it for all these years. I always remember the 2013 vintage. It won a double gold at the International Tasting at San Francisco, and Notre Dame University selected it to be their 175th anniversary wine.

2020 Cabernet Clone 6: I never got over being told that I should not plant Clone 6. It was too difficult to grow and not reliable. Thank goodness I never learned to listen! This wine has been a fun trip because it’s the ultimate Cabernet. It is 100% Clone 6 and needs no help to make it better. Bold in every aspect. It’s the best and simply my favorite wine.
