A Bordeaux blend with hints of chocolate and India spices leading to a smooth, fresh, fruity finish of spicy oak.

The original goal of long-time grower Louis Lucas and wine enthusiast Judge Royce Lewellen was to grow the five red grapes of France’s most famous wine region, but they discovered there was something missing. Carménère has a history that can be traced back to the Romans.

Notes of aromatic black cherry, leather, earth, and spicy vanilla oak dominate this vintage. 

This inky, dark red Petite Sirah glides across the palate with a lingering silky texture before giving way to intense flavors of fruit pie with hints of caramelized sugar and vanilla crust.

This wine was aged sur lees for 10 months in French oak, bringing forth the natural flavors of lively red fruit with smooth tannins and a lingering finish.
