In a recent blind tasting of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine took second place against a field of 8 highly rated Cabernets priced from $80 to $250 per bottle. The wines were poured blind. Price, producer, pedigree, and reputation were taken out of the equation. What remained in the glass was quality.

Grown at our warm-climate Valley View Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley, this Cabernet has the depth, structure, and concentration we look for from the site, balanced by the restraint and complexity that allow a serious Cabernet to develop beautifully in the bottle. Against considerably more expensive wines, the 2020 Valley View didn't simply hold its own. It finished second. A remarkable showing for an estate-grown Cabernet at a fraction of the price.
