2021 Carménère
The original goal of long-time grower Louis Lucas and wine enthusiast Judge Royce Lewellen was to grow the five red grapes of France’s most famous wine region, but they discovered there was something missing. Carménère has a history that can be traced back to the Romans. Six years ago, we planted 3 acres and this is our third vintage. Traditionally blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, we co-fermented this with our spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 6 for a rich, earthy, complex wine that is bold and spicy but should be enjoyed young.
