Co-owners Louis Lucas and Mike Lewellen of Buellton-based Lucas & Lewellen, like many viticulturists and growers across California, face a predicament: They grow more grapes than there are buyers.

For several years, California’s industry specialists such as Allied Grape Growers, a grower-owned wine grape marketing association with offices in Fresno and Paso Robles, have warned vineyard owners to lighten their loads and pull out entire vineyards to ease the statewide grape glut.

Meet Mike Lewellen and taste great Lucas & Lewellen wines in the Plaza Park VIP lounge at the Ventura Wine Walk. Plaza Park VIP Lounge from 4-7 pm. The VIP Lounge will feature gourmet food, wine, and entertainment for VIP ticket holders. VIP guests will have access to the VIP Lounge in addition to the general admission tasting locations. VIP guests start at your designated VIP check-in location before they can start the Wine Walk. After check-in, you can roam around freely to the other tasting locations.
