L&L's 7th Winter Wine Round-Up with Los Caballeros in Arizona

When:
Sunday, January 26, 2025
January 26th-30th, 2025
Where:

Los Caballeros Dude Ranch Resort

We only have room for 50 guests total this year so tell your friends to reserve early as we are sure to sell out. (Waitlisted guests are nearly always admitted at the last minute so don't make alternate plans if you find yourself on the waitlist).

Rated by Fodor's Travel as one of the "10 Best All-Inclusive Resorts", named on the Gold List of Hotels & Resorts in Arizona by Condé Nast Travelers as well as Golfweek’s “Top Places To Play”, and regularly one of Golf Advisor's Top 10 courses in the state, four days of wine and friends and time out under the glorious desert stars at the gracious and authentic Rancho de los Caballeros Dude Ranch & Resort is always a great time!Dust off your cowboy boots for some horseback riding with Wine Club Manager Anjie's dad, Tony Thompson, who will give the VIP treatment to club members who wish to explore 20,000 acres of wild desert on horseback. This trip includes a hay wagon ride to a ranch cookout dinner with music and wine in the shadow of Vulture Peak.

Enjoy a 3-course wine-paired dinner at sunset in the Ranch's new "19" restaurant, two hosted wine tastings, wine with evening meals, a cookout, campfire with s'mores under a black sky full of stars, a pickleball game (if we can find one of you guests to lead it because our pickleball teachers aren't coming this year!) and after dinner drinks in the western bar. Guests are invited to do their own thing and take in one included activity each day. Choose from a horseback ride through the Sonoran desert, trap shooting, archery, an e-bike tour on lightning fast e-bikes, a nature hike with the resident naturalist, or golfing the course's challenging 135 slope rating with a length of 7,014 yards. Their “signature hole” is the 13th. Playing 605 yards from the rust tees, it features numerous elevation changes and a small well-protected undulating green. It is consistently rated as one of the most challenging par 5 holes in the state.

Here is a great news segment link that gives a nice overview of Rancho de los Caballeros.

Activity Guide for the Ranch schedule so you know which of their activities are available when. Like everything, subject to change. With as large as Lucas & Lewellen wine groups tend to be, the ranch has its hands full with our visits! Anjie will email in advance for your menu selections. Think about reserving golf and spa early. Activity availability is subject to change. (Spa or jeep tours are not included in this year's package but are available as an add-on. Talk to the Ranch to reserve early.)

Click here for fun things to do in Wickenburg - buy new cowboy boots and get your hat reshaped, shop for western jewelry on Frontier street, hike Granite Mountain, tour the new homes at Wickenburg Ranch, enjoy the western art at their incredible southwestern art and Indian heritage museum, rent an ATV or reserve a Jeep tour through the Ranch to see the desert up close, go bird watching, drive your car over the Carefree Highway, watching for the wild burros that descended from the miners' burros, to Cave Creek.

Wait-listed guests are almost always admitted in the last two weeks prior to the event so if you find yourself on the wait-list, do not make alternative plans because we will most likely be able to squeeze you in at the last minute.
