30 Years at Harvest - A 30th Anniversary Weekend at Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards
The Tasting Rooms, Winery, and Vineyards of Lucas & Lewellen
Friday, August 28. The First Pour — Harvest Wines and Prize Winning Cheese
Lucas & Lewellen Tasting Room | All Afternoon
Begin the weekend with a first look at the wines of harvest. We’ll be sharing an aged Beemster Royaal Grand Cru from Vin Hus that earned the distinction of the #1 Cheese in the World at the 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest. Made by a 125-year-old farmer-owned cooperative, the winning entry scored 98.68, topping more than 3,300 submissions evaluated over three days. This special cheese, celebrated for a firm, crystalline texture and deep, caramelized richness, will be paired alongside a curated selection of our wines. It’s a combination that rarely makes its way into the tasting room, and one that highlights just how compelling wine and food can be together.
This will be a relaxed, open-house tasting designed for arrival, unwinding, and settling into a harvest weekend.
Preferred anniversary pricing begins Friday afternoon.
Saturday, August 29th. 10:00 AM - Blessing of the Grapes
Los Alamos Vineyard Pond
Each harvest begins with a pause. Join us along the pond in our Los Alamos vineyard as Father John offers a traditional blessing of the grapes honoring the season, the land, and the hands that bring each vintage to life.
Breakfast burritos will be available, along with Sparkling Wine, mimosas, Rosé of Pinot Noir, and Toccata Sangiovese.
$15 per person. Reservations are required. Reserve here.

Saturday, August 29th. 2:00–5:00 PM - The Harvest Cellar Tasting
Winery Tank Room at 132 Easy Street in Buellton
This year, we’re bringing harvest back inside the winery. Join us for a walk-through tasting inside the cellar, surrounded by tanks, barrels, and the wines of the season. We’ll be pouring a focused selection of our most compelling wines, along with select barrel and tank samples offering a glimpse into what’s ahead.
Meet Louis Lucas, Mike Lewellen, and Winemaker Megan McGrath Gates, and experience the wines in the place they are made.
A relaxed, standing tasting with no seating and no schedule — just wine, harvest, and the people behind it.
Complimentary for Wine Club Members. $25 for Guests. A selection of wines will be available for purchase directly from the cellar.
Sunday, August 30th - The Last Pour
Lucas & Lewellen Tasting Room
Take one last look as we pour a continuation of the weekend’s wines in a quieter setting at the tasting room, along with a few additional selections not widely poured during the weekend.
Louis Lucas will visit the tasting room around lunch time to sign your special bottles and share stories from the early days of grape growing in Santa Barbara County.
A chance to revisit favorites, discover something new, and take a final pass through the wines of harvest.
Select anniversary offerings remain available through Sunday along with a few surprise specials available on this day only.
Whether you join us for one day or settle in for the weekend, we look forward to sharing harvest the way we’ve experienced it for the past thirty years.
