2019 Nebbiolo

The eminent red grape of Northern Italy finds home in the Los Alamos area of Santa Barbara County. Nebbiolo buds out early and ripens late, maturing over an exceptionally long growing season. This wine, enhanced by 16 months of aging in French oak barrels, is Italian brick and terracotta in color with aromas of cherry, rose water, plum jam, sweet clove, and a hint of allspice. Soft and chewy in character with flavors of earthy truffle and dried berry, it possesses a classic finish of ripe fruit tannins.
