We are excited to announce that plans are just getting finalized for this Wine Safari adventure with Lucas & Lewellen Managing Partner, Mike Lewellen.
Our visit is timed to coincide with the best potential for viewing the migration - no promises, but we have a good chance! Join us for what may be a once in a life time adventure and embrace the magic of the African savannah as you follow in the footsteps of nature’s most prolific beasts. Here in the birthplace of the safari lies Eastern Africa’s most elite national parks and game reserves, teeming with giraffes, lion, cheetah and leopard. Witnessing hundreds of big-tusked elephants roam against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro is one of life’s great revelations. Enjoy several daily game drives with the most awe-inspiring wildlife interactions and scenery.
A safari through Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s premier wildlife experiences. This is the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants. Meet the nomadic Masai tribespeople, Africa’s last great warriors. Cross into Tanzania to visit Arusha's famous souvenir markets or continue straight on to the cool heights of Ngorongoro. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest caldera, an extinct volcano that is home to approximately 25,000 wild animals. Continue your African adventure past the Olduvlai Gorge on your way through the Serengeti game park for world class game viewing. Here you will have the chance to spot lion, leopard, cheetah and more! Finish your safari in the Masai Mara, the world's top game park, where you will see elephant, giraffe, lion and many more animals with your skilled private guide. Venture into the thick of the plains in search of zebras, gazelles, impalas, and of course wildebeests, who thunderously feed and migrate from the Serengeti and through the Mara area every year. Finish in Nairobi where you'll enjoy time for some final sightseeing, souvenir shopping or dinner before returning home from this incredible adventure.
This trip offers unparalleled game viewing with evening relaxation in excellent quality tented camps and game lodges and five star accomodations. Kensington Tours offers local support in each region you visit, delivering unbeatable value. We have a minimum of one, hopefully two winemaker dinners scheduled and are looking forward to exploring Lucas & Lewellen wines with African fare.
We are limited to 42 guests maximum if the space holds and we will be finalizing bookings in groups of six. Pricing is $10,400 per person, based on double occupancy and insurance is urged. Deposit is 30% of total and of that, $350 per person is non-refundable, along with any non-refundable options, ie airfare. Unfortunately, we will only have held group space six at a time and once any of these popular accomodations are full, our group will close, so this one won't give us much time to wait so plan early if Africa is a dream of yours.
